ALTAR SERVERS

Youths - students, (third grade and older) assist at weekend liturgies and Holy Days. Adults - to help at weekday Masses, Holy Days, and funerals, preparing the altar and sanctuary prior to Mass.


BAPTISM PREPARATION
Instruction provided to parents and godparents on the Sacrament of Baptism and the importance of faith formation for children.
BUILDINGS & GROUNDS
Assist with the general upkeep of the parish property. Provide advise or assistance on small repairs and maintenance issues.


CANTOR
Encourage and enhance liturgical worship by leading congregational singing.
PARISH CEMETERY

Assist parishioners with the purchasing of graves, interment arrangements and "Perpetual Care of our cemetery".


CHURCH CLEANERS

Assist with the general cleaning of the Church.


GREETERS and USHERS

Men and Women of High School age and older who serve as ministers of hospitality, welcoming parishioners and taking up the collection at Mass.


CHURCH DECORATING
Help decorate the Church at various times of the year, i.e., in preparation for Easter and Christmas.


EUCHARIST MINISTERS

Assist in distributing Holy Communion at Mass, in homes, hospitals and nursing homes. Participation in a program of theological and practical formation is required.


EVANGELIZATION COMMITTEE

The purpose of the parish Evangelization Committee is to offer opportunities for parishioners to enrich their faith experiences and live their Catholic Faith.


FAITH FORMATION
With the help of dedicated catechist, our goal is to provide a setting that nurtures the growth of our Catholic Faith within our children. (Grades K through 10)
FINANCIAL COUNCIL

A small group of parishioners, including two Trustees, who counsel the Pastor in financial decisions.


FOOD PANTRY (Outreach to the Poor)

In conjunction with the ecumenical community of Nassau and surrounding communities, we provide food and clothing for the needy.


FUNERAL MINISTRY

Assist staff and family members with planning the funeral liturgy.  We offer in the Church Hall, hospitality, refreshments and luncheons for grieving families after the funeral service.


GREETING CARD MINISTRY

We send meaningful cards to our parishioners who are in nursing homes, hospitals, and homebound.


HALL HELPERS

This vital group of men and women arrange our Church Hall for social and fundraising events. Duties include setting up tables and chairs, food preparation, decorating, serving and cleanup.


LECTORS

Proclaim the Word of God and lead the congregation in the Prayer of the Faithful.


MARRIAGE PREPARATION TEAM
Sponsor engaged couples and help them to navigate the first critical years of marriage.
MUSIC MINISTRY

We enhance and encourage congregational singing at all Masses. The Resurrection Choir leads the singing at all funeral liturgies.


PASTORAL COUNCIL
We assist and advise the Pastor in decision making, especially in the implementation of our Parish Mission Statement.
RESPECT LIFE MINISTRY
Providing programs of caring, education and advocacy to protect the sanctity of all human life for the unborn and born.


RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION
Providing total formation of adults in becoming full, active, and participating members of the Catholic Church. Catechists are welcome to assist with this program.
VISITATION MINISTRY
We visit parishioners in the local hospitals, nursing homes and those who are homebound.
YOUTH MINISTRY
We work with the youth of out Parish on community-building activities to foster their growth in faith and social grace.
