Assist in cleaning of the altar cloths
Assist the priest and deacon during liturgical celebrations. Anyone third grade to adult is welcome.
Angels To Each Other
Catholic Women’s Group whose mission is based on the Corporal Works of Mercy and Scripture. Meetings are held the first and third Monday’s of the months September through June.
Art and Environment
This group shares their time and talent to prepare the church for the various liturgical seasons. (i.e. decorating for Christmas and Easter)
Building & Grounds Upkeep
Volunteers give of their time and talent to make our church grounds look groomed.
Communion to the Sick and Homebound
This group brings Communion and visits with the sick and homebound of our parish.
Assist the priest and deacon with the distribution of Holy Communion. Training is provided.
This is an opportunity to help bring the faith to the next generation by being involved in the Faith Formation Program. If you are interested in teaching or helping out in some other way with the program, please contact the parish office.
This group of ladies meet once a week to do needle work projects. They donate the completed work to the poor. (i.e., mittens and hats for the homeless)
Individuals and families who greet people as they enter church and make them feel welcome. They also distribute bulletins and worship aids as people enter church.
Individuals willing to assist with parish sponsored functions or special receptions.
This group assists at funeral liturgies. They support the families of the deceased by acting as greeters, readers, candle bearers and Eucharistic Ministers.
Proclaim the Word of God during the liturgy. Anyone Confirmation age and older is welcome to take part.
This group of men focus on parish concerns, as well as sponsoring several community gatherings. They also assist with light maintenance at the school and in the church.
Have you ever considered becoming active in music ministry? There are many ways to be involved. Our choir will resume on Sunday, Sept. 8th at the 10:30am Mass. New choir members are needed and welcomed. There are also opportunities for cantors and instrumentalists. All of these ministries are flexible, making the time commitment very minimal. If you have a musical gift to share, please consider how God may be calling you to participate. Or if you know someone who is suitable for this ministry, invite them to join. The voices and talents of our community help to keep our music ministry vibrant and alive. Any youth interested in joining the children’s choir?
It is the mission of REC to serve the Lord within our diocese by encouraging the prison inmate population to become more active Christians during and after their incarceration. Our service to the Lord is done primarily through an intense three-day program, timely follow-up meetings, supporting other religious activities within prisons and supporting re-entry to the community.
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a team that works with teens and adults who are interested in being welcomed fully into the Catholic Church.
The Senior group has activities such as trips, luncheons and monthly meetings.
Ushers take up the collection during Mass and generally assist people in their seating, with hearing devices, etc. They also distribute the music sheets and bulletins.
